Ahmok (Chicken)
- Cambodian Steamed chicken breast in coconut milk, lemon grass, collard greens and other spices. It's very soft, with red flecks on top, reminiscent of paprika. It's not pudding soft, as I've heard it described, but the texture is pleasant. And the broth its in is good to drink afterwards. Another nice thing? They ask you if you want brown or white rice. (For us health nuts.) Would I try again? No. I was good, but not different enough to warrant a second order. Where I found it: Cambodian Cuisine (Now Closed) |

Cha Chrok Spey
- Cambodian Pickled mustard greens, served with your favorite meat (from seafood to beef, whatever your vice...) Would I try again? Yeah. At first, it seemed too salty. But the damn dish grew on me, slowly becoming the second best entree of the night (after the mango salad). Yummers. Give it a try. Where I found it: Floating Rock |

Cha Krom -
Cambodian Green mussels, marinated in a ginger sauce. Friends, you ain't gonna find mussels larger than these. The ginger flavor is subtle, but it's a very nice dish...perfectly situated in MA, home of seafood specialties. Would I try again? Yes..though honestly, it didn't have the punch that I like in my meals. But that's me - I'm a sucker for strong flavor. If you like something a tad more subtle, give this a shot. It's definitely a plus fior seafood lovers... Where I found it: Floating Rock |

Cha Krung Sach
Kow - Cambodian Spicy beef. Diced peppers, beef, and onions...dressed in a a spicy sauce. As a pescetarian, I picked around the beef, but the sauce and veggies seemed nice. My husband, the omnivore, liked the dish - so give it a try. For me, though...? It seemed like a decent spicy dish...but not much to differentiate it from a million other ethnicites...even just your basic, spicy Chinese/Sichuan Chinese. So it gets a mildly positive review. But nothing amazing. Phil Says: Spicy beef dish - was balanced in its flavors, while the spices weren't overpowering for the beef or vegetables - something you rarely see in dishes today. Would I try again? Yes - though not in a hurry. Where I found it: Floating Rock |

Cha Krung Sa
Mot - Cambodian Spicy seafood dish - yummy, with very tender, soft cuts of seafood. The spices were somewhat subtle (and didn't explode in your mouth.) Sorecommended, though not amazing. Would I try again? Yeah...but not ahead of the mango salad (see below.) Where I found it: Floating Rock |

Chom Sway -
Cambodian Oh my GOD. To my mind, this was by far the best dish from the trip to Floating Rock...a tangled, juliienne salad of smoked fish and mango...a complex mix of lime, sweet and sour flavors that just puts Sripraphai Thai to shame. Oh WOW. If you are ever in Massachusetts, you owe yourself to give this stuff a shot. It's the sorta stuff you'd eat every day, if only it were available at your local bodega...or if you knew how to cook decent Cambodian food.....!!! (Yeah, right...) Would I try again? YES! 3.92 stars! Where I found it: Floating Rock |

Lort Soup -
Cambodian A clear soup of veggies, with a side order of bean sprouts and short, chunky noodles (that look somewhat like beansprouts themselves). Not alot going on with this soup, but it was filling and satisfying nonetheless. And if you like it spicy, you can always dress it up with various extra sauces, from fermented shrimp paste to your basic hotsauce. My friend Brian loved this one....so give it a try.... Would I try again? Yes - occasionally. Seemed tasty, and ever so healthy.... Where I found it: Floating Rock |
