Crab Rangoon -
Chinese American Hybrid An American invention, it's fried wontons with a cream cheese and minced crab meat filling. I'd been looking forward to these, ever since reading about them on scaredycatstalker. But they weren't anything special, and I was disappointed that the center was completely pureed - not a strand of crab meat to be seen. Would I try again? Nope. Where I found it: In the Palisades Mall (at Stir Crazy) |

Mango (dried)
with Chili -
Unknown Ethnicity Slices of mango dusted with a light coating of chili powder. Tasty, sweet - and even good for you. Yum! (Sold by a company called Ego.) Would I try again? Yep. Good stuff. Where I found it: Tongin Mart |

Melon Seeds -
Various I think they're watermelon seeds. You can find them in a lot of Asian markets, either in a barrell (measurable by scoop) or in prepackaged snack pack bags. The snack bags come in various flavors, like licorice. Warning up front! Don't eat the shell - split it with your teeth and eat the kernel only. I tried the licorice, which isn't too bad. But it's way too much work for what you get out of it. Would I try again? No - too much effort - although I'm sure they're incredibly healthy! Where I found it: Evergrand Trading |
