Raita A yogurt (dahi) sauce, mixed with herbs, and spices. (In America, it's often paired with cucumber.) Served as a cooling side condiment, and available in most every Indian restaurant.... Would I try again? Oh, every once in awhile (if only it didn't have yogurt...) |

Sev -
Indian Deep fried little noodles, made from chickpea flour. Tiny little crunchy things, often poured over snack (chaat) type dishes, such as Sev Puri (hence the name.) Would I try again? Well, these are really more condiment style items...they're not miraculously tasty, but I wouldn't be adverse to trying them in any new dishes. Where I found it: Any Indian restaurant offering Chaat. |
